Sreekanth Addala is Writer, Director, Assistant Director in Telugu cinema. He has completed M.Sc Physics and Discontinued P.HD from IIT Delhi for his Passion Towards Films.
After working on many movies as an assistant director, Sreekanth directed his first movie Kotha Bangaru Lokam with Varun Sandesh and Shweta Basu Prasad. The movie was well received and was declared one of the biggest hits of the year 2008. His second project Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu released in 2013. Mukunda, released on 24 December 2014. His latest release, Brahmotsavam, released on 20 May 2016.
He also worked as an associate director for several Telugu movies. He worked as an assistant director for the movie Arya in 2004. His association with film producer Dil Raju began with that movie. Dil raju was impressed with Sreekanth and gave him an advance of ₹9000 and told him to come up with a story. Impressed by Sreekanth’s work ethic, Dil Raju also asked him to work for Bommarilu. He took a three months gap after Bommarillu and came up with the story of Kotha Bangaru Lokam. He worked on the script for six more months. And finally in 2008, Sreekanth was given an opportunity to direct his first movie by Dil Raju.
Kotha Bangaru Lokam starring Varun Sandesh and Shweta Basu Prasad won multiple Nandi Awards and Filmfare Awards in various categories. It was also nominated for a Filmfare Award in the Best Movie Category. The movie was commercially successful. After nearly two years, Sreekanth began working on a multi-starrer movie Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu. Once again produced by Dil Raju, the movie stars Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu. The movie released on 11 January 2013 and got huge response from all over the world. Srikanth Addala launched Nagababu’s son Varun Tej with his latest release “Mukunda”,it released on 24 December 2014. His latest release, Brahmotsavam, released on 20 May 2016.
