Chirrantan Arun Bhatt is an Indian musician, composer and singer of Indian Film Industry. He is active in Bollywood and Tollywood but also composed music for other Regional film industry as well. His composition are generally high on melody with touch of rock.
He is the grandson of Vijay Bhatt and belongs to the famous Bhatt family. He made his debut as a composer with the film, Mission Istaanbul (2008). He has given musical hits for Shaapit (2010), Haunted 3D (2011), 1920: Evil Returns (2012), BOSS (2013), Ragini MMS 2 (2014) and Gabbar is Back (2015). His last work was in Kanche (2015). His work will now be seen in the upcoming film Dare You which is all set to release in March 2016.
Chirantan Bhatt is the son of Arun Bhatt, a director who shot films in Hindi and Gujarati. Vijay Bhatt, his grandfather is the founder of Prakash Pictures. Much like his father, he was also creative. In his college days, Chirantan started strumming a guitar and developed a passion for it. At the same time, he learnt how to compose music by using software’s. After mastering both of them, he decided to become a music composer. However, his family did not support his decision as they were of the opinion that music industry is a risky & uncertain field. Undeterred, Chirantan entered the film industry as a music composer.
As a Music Composer: Chirantan debuted as a composer with the Hindi film ‘Mission Istanbul’ in 2008. He composed ‘Mission Mission’, a song which is included in the film’s music album. In the same year, he turned music director for the Bollywood entertainer ‘EMI: Liya Hai To Chukana Padega’. By this time, Chirantan gained some recognition. In 2009, he was roped in as the music director for the Hindi film ‘Three: Love, Lies, Betrayal’. He then caught his break with Vikram Bhatt’s Hindi directorial ‘Shaapit’ in 2010. The film brought him closer to the director. Later, Bhatt roped in Chirantan to compose for his next directorial ‘Haunted- 3D’. The film is India’s first 3D flick and Chirantan became India’s first composer to direct the music album for a 3D film.
