Jaya Krishna Gummadi

Jayakrishna Gummadi (born on 20 March 1974 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India) is an award-winning Indian cinematographer who has worked in Telugu and Malayalam cinema. It was when he saw the cinematographic aspects in the popular hit film ” Geethanjali”, that he got isnpired to enter the arena of films and movies.

After graduating from FTII, he came back to Hyderabad to take up the assignment as a cinematographer for the Telugu film “Mr and Mrs Sailaja Krishnamurthy” followed by a Malayalam film starring Jayaram. In 2007 his feature film “Okkadunnadu” was released. In 2008 he has to his credit ‘Idhi Sangathi’ (Telugu) starring Tabu and Abbas. This film was noted for being shot on HD (High definition). He has also been associated with couple of short films. Prominent among them are “22 Minutes” that was directed by renowned music director, R.P. Patnaik and “I am famous” directed by R.Hanumantha Rao which was the opening film in the 2007 Hyderabad International Film Festival.

Mr. Jaya Krishna Gummadi has shown some renowned work in the field of cinematography and he stands as an inspiration to many youngsters who dream of making it in this field.

 

No Competition for Baahubali 2

Baahubali 2 is the most awaited movie of 2017, Telugu audience are eager to know why did baahubali killed kattapa?

Baahubali which is Scheduled to release on April 28,is expected to rule all the A,B and C center Screenes atleast for 50 days and later give space for other release.

all the Telugu movies release for Summer are on high alert.The film makers of Katama Rayudu do not want to delay the release from March to April. As most Telugu films are having a theatrical run of three to four weeks these days, they are planning to release the film one month before the release of Bahubali -2.

‘DJ’ is another biggie in Summer. They have planned to release the movie in the third week of May, but the makers are taking a cautious approach on the release date because no one can estimate the mania of Bahubali 2.

If Bahubali meets expectations, it is going to rule BOX OFFICE for minimum 50 days. Many film makers feel that they should leave at least a month to Bahubali. It may not be surprising if DJ team do not opt for May release. When it comes to Mahesh film, they have already moved to June 23. Even though they have thought of advaning the release date little further, they have dropped the idea as DJ will be delayed.

Teja is an Indian Film Cinematographer turned Director, predominant in Telugu Cinema. He made his debu into the film industry with blockbusters, including Chitram, Nuvvu Nenu, Jayam and Nijam.

Teja was born on 22 February 1966 in Madras, Tamil Nadu, to Jasti Balaram Krishna and Jasti Rani. His father was an industrialist, based primarily in Tokyo, Japan. Teja used to often travel between Tokyo and Madras.The Teja family was considered the richest in the Tamil Nadu state in the 1960s.

After working as a cinematographer in Hindi and Telugu cinema from 1989 to 2000, he made his directorial debut in Telugu cinema with Chitram. Chitram is considered a path breaking film which went on to revolutionise Telugu cinema.

Teja is famous for casting only debutant actors for all roles in his films. He introduced over one thousand actors and technicians to Indian cinema, including Uday Kiran, Nitin, Sadha, Kajal Agarwal, Navdeep and Sunil.

He has garnered many awards, notably- Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Director and Filmfare Award for Best Director – Telugu for Nuvvu Nenu.

Teja is not only famous for his film work, but also infamous for his short-temper and eccentricity. He is known to often use unconventional ways to obtain satisfactory performances from actors on sets.

Teja in a 2012 ABN-interview said that he had done all sorts of odd jobs for survival, including illegal frying and sale of marijuana.

When Teja was aged seven, for reasons unknown, both his parents died. His relatives split the family estate and properties among themselves and he was forced to move in with his aunt and uncle. According to Teja, his aunt and uncle mentally and psychically abused him and forcefully made him do labour work. Teja in a Maa TV interview recalled, being beaten with a belt night after night, and his aunt cursing that she should’ve gotten a higher share in his father’s estate for taking him in.

Teja unable to bear the harassment, ran away from home. He slept on road pavements, and did any and all sorts of odd jobs for survival, such as truck and car wash, rickshaw pulling, and also the illegal frying and sale of marijuana. Teja joked that he used to work for All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party in Chennai, and used to black mark any Hindi text found either on billboards, posters or on walls, and later it was the Hindi film industry that would become his life.

Teja enrolled himself in a government night school in Central Madras, and worked during the day to feed himself. Teja in many interviews recollected many traumatic events in his childhood, including being chased by gay police men, his sister being left at an orphanage by their uncle, him sleeping in rains on road pavements, and others.

In 2002, Teja founded the motion picture production company Chitram Movies and its subsidiaries. He is also the sole owner and chairman of the motion picture exhibition company Jayam Movies Pvt. Ltd. which owns a string of movie theaters in Southern parts of India.

Vijay. C. Kumar

C.Vijay Kumar is a famous Indian cinematographer in the Telugu film industry who won a Nandi Award in the year 2008 for the film Godavari. He is the son of renowned cinematographer C. Nageshwara Rao. Mr. Vijay Kumar’s work is well renowned for the innovative use of lighting, subject specific visualization, use of natural colors on screen, Tele-focus shots, balancing the depth of focus between the subject and objects and many more techniques. Some of his films in theTelugu film industry are Vivaha BhojanambuAmmoruAgrahamDollar DreamsAnand, and Happy Days. The movie, Dollar Dreams won an award for Best First Film of a Director at 47th National film festival.

He has worked under various cinematographers like S.Venkataratnam, V.S.R.Swami, Ravi Kanth Nagaich, S.S Lal, S.Gopal Reddy etc. in Telugu and Shomandar Roy, Eshaan Arya, Baba Azmi, Behran Mukherjee etc. in Hindi for eight years and earned lot of practical knowledge in the sense Knowledge in different kinds of lightning and exposures. He has gained immense hands on experience by working in the field and  In 1984 he joined as an operative cameraman under Lok Singh for Vijetha films. Producer Jaya Krishna gave Vijay Kumar his first break as cinematographer with Vivaha Bhojanambu film under Jandhyala director which was a block buster hit. He later went out to work for ‘Neeku Naaku Pellanta’ with the same team.

Taapsee Pannu’s Dedication to ghazi

Taapsee Pannu’s latest film “Ghazi” that is set for release next week. is the latest Telugu film of her after Sahasam with Gopichand.

Taapsee plays the role of a Bangladeshi refugee in the movie which deals with the sinking of Pakistani submarine Ghazi that is sent to destroy Visakhpatnam port and few warships there to destabilise India in 1971 Indo-pak war. For the role, Taapsee learnt Bengali as well to sound like true Bangladeshi girl.

Apart from her native language Hindi and Punjabi, Taapsee speaks fluent Tamil and Telugu as well.

now Bengali is also an asset to her Acting life, maybe we will soon see her doing straight Bengali films.

Om Namo Venkatesaya is a 2017 Indian Telugu devotional & biographical film, based on the life of Hathiram Bhavaji, produced by A. Mahesh Reddy on the AMR Sai Krupa Entertainments banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anushka Shetty, Pragya Jaiswal and Jagapathi Babu, and has Saurabh Raj Jain in a supporting role. The music has been composed by M. M. Keeravani.

‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ is all set to hit the screens on February 10th. In the recent press conference, Nagarjuna and K Raghavendra Rao spoke about their experience with the film.

Nagarjuna: “I knew nothing about Hathiram Baba before listening to the script of ‘ONV’. His story blew my mind & it’s a spiritual journey for Me. This is my career-best film. I’m not saying that I have performed brilliantly, but that’s the kind of feeling I have. This is for the first time in my career, I’m free from any tensions at the time of release”.

K Raghavendra Rao: “Many people were unaware of the greatness of Tirumala Hills. We showed what could done & what can’t be done on the hill shrine in ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’. Keeravani’s Music is the soul of this movie. People used to rave about ‘Annamayya’ climax. From now, they keep talking about ‘ONV’. All the theaters screening ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’ will turn into the temples of Venkateswara Swamy”.

When Dil Raju announced in last December that he is going to release Shatamanam Bhavati during Sankranthi, many were skeptical about the fate of the film. They thought that Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna films will kick Shatamanam Bhavati from silver screen. Surprisingly Shatamanam Bhavati turned out to be a super hit. When we consider the Return On Investment, it is much bigger hit than Chiru & Balayya films.

“I worked as a journalist in Eenadu. Usually News papers will have holidays only during Dasara, Diwali & Sankranthi. Whenever these festivals were around the corner, we used to have holiday mood.”

“But I used to feel sad on the festival day as there is no festive atmosphere. I have written a short Telugu story ‘Palle Payanametu?’ long ago. When i told my friends about this story, they suggested me to develop into a feature script.”

“I followed their advice and made a script. When I was working in Dil Raju banner for Ramayya Vastavayya, Subramanyam For Sale, I narrated the story to Dil Raju garu.. he was impressed with it and came forward to produce the film.”
