P. Ravi Shankar

P. Ravi Shankar is an Indian Film Actor, Dubbing Artist, Director and Writer. He has also acted in a few Telugu and Tamil films. He dubbed for over 2600 films with more than 1000 films each in Telugu and Tamil languages. He dubbed for over 150 films each in Kannada and Malayalam films.

Ravi grew up as a child in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Ravi’s mother Krishna Jyothi is a Kannada actress who acted with Kannada thespian Dr.Rajkumar and others in films like Sri Krishna Garudi, Makkala Rajya and others. Ravi’s father P.J. Sharma was also an actor and dubbing artist who worked in many Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films. His elder brother Sai Kumar entered in film industry as dubbing artist and became a very successful actor in Kannada later. He is married to a Punjabi woman, Suchil Ravi Shankar and the couple has one son named Adhvey Shankar. Ravishankar is all set to launch Adhvey as a hero in his own directorial film in Kannada.
Ravi Shankar made his film debut as a lead actor in 1986 with R. Narayana Murthy’s film ‘Aalochinchandi’.

He is the brother of Indian actor Saikumar Pudipeddi. He won eight state Nandi Awards for Best Male Dubbing Artist and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist. He made his directorial debut with the Kannada film ‘Durgi’ in 2002. He also worked as a dialogue writer and penned dialogues for over 75 Telugu films and 150 Tamil films. He also worked as a playback singer for films such as ‘Rakta Charitra’ and ‘Bejawada’. He won his first Filmfare Award for his performance in the film ‘Kempe Gowda’ that gave him a big break in his acting career.

His dubbing work in the 2009 film Arundhati, where he voiced for Sonu Sood was praised by the critics and became very popular with the audience. He won a Nandi award for his performance and was referred to as ‘Bommali Ravi Shankar’ by the media there after only until his performance in Kannada Mega hit Kempegowda.

Ravi Shankar, after Kempegowda, became the top most and the busiest supporting actor in the Kannada Film Industry and went on to become a house hold name in Karnataka. He then acted in super hit films like ‘Manikya’, ‘Dandupalya’, ‘Adhyaksha’, ‘Charulatha’, ‘Bachchan’, ‘Edegarike’, ‘Varadanayaka’ and others. He was also seen in Telugu films such as ‘Kurradu’ and ‘Happy Happy Ga’a and in Tamil films such as ‘Vettaikaaran and Kollaikaran’.

Devi Sri Prasad

Devi Sri Prasad is Indian film Composer and Playback singer in Telugu, Tamil films.

He was born Vedurupaka and later moved to Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. His father was a school teacher and a writer. He completed his schooling at Sir M. Venkata Subba Rao Boys High School, T. Nagar, Chennai. He won several prizes in the culturals organised at inter-school level for both dance and singing competitions.

His soundtracks have been dubbed or remade in several other languages as well. He is making his debut in Malayalam cinema with the forthcoming film Kandahar, which stars Mohanlal, Amitabh Bachchan and Surya Sivakumar in lead roles.

His debut music album Dance Party, along with S. P. B. Charan and a few more debutants at the time, was the kick start of his music career. He began his musical-direction career in 1999 in the Telugu film Devi. Devi Sri Prasad was a disciple of the renowned mandolinist, U. Srinivas, and he has directed music for dozens of South Indian films, including several box-office successes.

He has also written lyrics for a few songs in Telugu, which include “Vecha Vechaga” in Vamsi (starring Mahesh Babu, Namratha), “Premante Yemitante” in Anandam, “Chaila Chaila” in Shankar Dada MBBS, and “Udayinche Suryudinadigaa” and “Akaasam” in Kalusukovaalani.

Devi Sri Prasad is known to be a big fan of Ilaiyaraaja. He has a younger brother named Sagar who is also a playback singer.

Gopimohan is an Indian Screenplay and Story Writer who works in the Telugu film industry. Gopi Mohan was born in Kurumaddali village Near Vuyyuru, Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh. From childhood, he was passionate about movies.

Gopi Mohan worked in the direction department for N.Shankar’s 1999 Telugu film Yamajathakudu and B. Gopal’s 2000 Telugu film Vamsi. He assisted in script and direction for Teja’s 2001 super hit Telugu film Nuvvu Nenu.

Later he wrote the screenplay in 2002 Telugu super hit film Santosham. He is associated with successful directors Dasaradh, Sreenu Vytla, Surender Reddy, Teja, G.Nageswara Reddy from past ten years. In the past, he has written screenplays for movies such as Santosham, Venky, Mr & Mrs Sailajakrishnamurthy, Sri, Ashok, Dhee, Dubai Seenu, Lakshyam, Swagatam, Jhummandi Naadam, Dhenikaina Ready, Greeku Veerudu, Doosukeltha, and Loukyam.

He first wrote the story in the 2008 super hit Telugu film Ready. He wrote stories for director Sreenu Vytla films Ready, King, Namo Venkatesa, Dookudu, Baadshah. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat worked together for many super hit films as script writers.

Anthony

Anthony is a Indian Film Editor and Director. He has worked in over 80 Films including Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu language films. This makes him one of the few editors to have worked for the four biggest film industries in India. He is also an inspiration for many young Editors.

Anthony was born as Llewellyn Anthony Gonsalvez on 11 September 1973 T. Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Anthony studied a degree in Literature at Madras Christian College, Tambaram, but found himself unsure of a career path once he has finished his education. Following suggestions from his friends, he began learning about animation at Prasad Studio and subsequently also enrolled to learn about editing. He thereafter, received offers to work on corporate ads, trailers and documentaries from 1993 for Edit Point and continued to work in the same practice til 2004, often collaborating with leading ad film makers like Rajiv Menon.

He then began to work on editing songs in films occasionally, also gaining experience by editing tele-films. Director Gautham Menon asked Anthony to edit the song “Ennai Konjam” in Kaakha Kaakha for the audio release event of that film, and impressed with his work for that song and he asked him to sign on as the film’s editor.

He has since associated with the biggest technicians in South Indian cinema, collaborating regularly with directors including Shankar, AR Murugadoss, Gautham Menon, Linguswamy, K. V. Anand and A. L. Vijay.

Anthony Directed his first film, “Oru Naal Iravil” which is remake of the Malayalam film “Shutter” (2012) featuring Sathyaraj in the lead role. The film also stars Anumol, Kalyani Natarajan and Dixitha Kothari.

Kishore Te was an Indian film Editor. He worked in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films.

he was born on march 1978 in Valavanur, Villupuram, Tamil Nadu.

At age 21, Kishore joined film editors B. Lenin and V. T. Vijayan as an assistant. He worked on more than 70 Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films as an assistant editor. His first independent film as an editor was the Tamil film ‘Eeram’ (2009) produced by Shankar and directed by Arivazhagan.

He has worked in ‘Gaganam’, ‘Udhayan’, ‘180’, ‘Engeyum Eppodhum’, ‘Kanchana’, ‘Ethir Neechal’, ‘Vetri’, ‘Selvan’, ‘Kamasutra 3D’, ‘Un Samayal Arayil’, ‘Kaaka Muttai’ and many more

For his work in Aadukalam (2011) and “Visaranai” (2015), he won the National Film Award for Best Editing.

Kishore suddenly swooned while he was editing a Vettrimaran film and upon being rushed to the hospital he was diagnosed with a brain clot. Even though a surgery was performed, he never regained consciousness.

Kishore Te died on 6 March 2015 at the age of 36.

Prabhas is excited to commence shooting for his next untitled action entertainer, which will go on the floors soon. The film is to be directed by Sujeeth Sign, and will be produced by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations banner.

The talented trio, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy are going to compose music for the film and Madhie is signed up as the cinematographer. Sabu Cyril, who has earlier worked in ‘Baahubali’, is also part of the team as the production designer.

Chinmayi Sripaada is an Indian Playback Singer,Voice Actor, Television Presenter, Radio jockey and Entrepreneur. working mainly for the South Indian Film Industry.

Chinmayi hails from a musically rich family. Chinmayi was raised by her mother, T. Padmhasini, a singer and musicologist, taught her Carnatic music and Hindustani classical music. She traces her roots to Paramkudi, Ramanthappuram, on her maternal side. Chinmayi and her mother were deserted by her father when she was 1 year old. Chinmayi has steadfastly refused to stake claim to anything from her paternal side. After her birth and early childhood in Mumbai, Chinmayi relocated to Chennai, where she attended the Children’s Garden school until the age of 10. She was then enrolled at Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar and went on to complete her school education through home study modules where she was partly home-schooled after her 10th standard.

Chinmayi received the CCRT Scholarship for Young Talent for Carnatic Music from the Government of India at 10. She won the gold medal from All India Radio for Ghazals in 2000 and the Silver for Hindustani Classical Music in 2002. She learned German as a language in the Max Mueller Bhavan in Chennai and completed certification courses from NIIT and SSI in web design. During her school life, she held jobs with both Sify and studentconcepts.org. Chinmayi currently holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Madras. She is also a versatile dancer and mostly enjoys the Odissi form of dance. Apart from her mother tongue Tamil, she speaks Hindi, English, Telugu, Marathi, Malayalam, and German fluently.

She has since received critical acclaim for songs such as “Oru Dheivam Thantha Poove”, “Sahana”, “Vaarayo Vaarayo”, “Kilimanjaro”, “Sara Sara” and “Asku Laska”. Chinmayi as of date has to her credit over 1,000 songs in six different languages.[6]

Chinmayi turned a voice actor for the Tamil film ‘Sillunu Oru Kadhal’ (2006), speaking dubbing for actress ‘Bhumika Chawla’. Since then, she has dubbed for several lead actresses in Tamil films, including ‘Tamannaah Bhatia’, ‘Sameera Reddy’, ‘Samantha Ruth Prabhu’ and ‘Trisha Krishnan’. She has also provided her voice in dubbed Telugu films. She dubbed for the critically acclaimed fictional character Jessie who was in the Telugu version ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’ and was portrayed by Samantha, while being portrayed by ‘Amy Jackson’ in the Hindi version Ek Deewana Tha.

Chinmayi serves as the CEO of Blue Elephant, a translation services company she founded in August 2005. The company has ever since been the language service provider for various Multinational companies like Scope E Knowledge, Ford, Dell, Ashok Leyland, Reliance India, to name a few. She received an award from SAARC Chamber for Women Entrepreneurship for Excellence in a niche industry for Blue Elephant in 2010. In 2011, she became the first ever woman entrepreneur from Tamil Nadu to be selected for the prestigious FORTUNE/US State Department Global Women’s Mentoring Partnership Program.

Sabu Cyril

Sabu Cyril is an Indian film Production Designer and Art Director. He has won National Film Award for Best Production Design four times, Filmfare Award for Best Art Direction five times and he was nominated at 42nd Saturn Awards.

Sabu Cyril was born in Valparai and completed his schooling there. He graduated from the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai

His work in Enthiran won him international recognition. Over the years, he has emerged to be the most expensive and celebrated Art Director in the country.

From 1982 to 1988, he was a freelance graphics designer for companies such as Welcomgroup Hotels, the Taj Group of Hotels, and Madura Coats. In 1988, he began his art director career, and has directed more than 2,500 advertisements, 3 teleserials and 115 feature films in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada and designed several stage shows. In 1996, he directed the stage design for the Miss World beauty pageant. He also worked as one of the 2nd unit directors in the 1990 film Iyer the Great.

Thota Tharani

Thota Tharani is an Indian Film Art Director and Production Designer who has worked in Tamil Cinema, Telugu Cinema, Malayalam Cinema and Bollywood.

he was born on 16 December 1949 in Chennai, India.Thota Tharrani completed his Graduate Diploma in Mural Painting in 1971 and subsequently was offered a Fellowship from the Government of France to study Print-making. Additionally, he completed print making courses from the Royal College of Arts, London and New Delhi.

As of 2013, he has won two National Film Awards, two Filmfare Awards South and four Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. His work consists of paintings, murals, paper collages, wooden montages, and installations and so on.

Thota Tharani has been involved in the art of set design since he was just twelve when he helped his father. His work was very much appreciated in films such as ‘Nayagan’, ‘Indian’ the two films fetched him a National Film Award. His recent works include ‘Dasavathaaram’, ‘Kanthaswamy’, ‘Leader’, ‘Rudrama Devi’ and ‘Khaidi No. 150’.

He has worked in more than 100 feature films as a production designer, including three foreign productions: Pondichéry, Dernier Comptoir Des Indes (French), Hanuman (French) and Branchie (Italian). His expertise in magnificent and larger than life sets has been well appreciated and awarded. His realistic sets for Nayagan are awe inspiring and the grandeur of the sets he created for Thiruda Thiruda and Mudhalvan added to the flavour of the films.

In addition to being an art director, Thota Tharani has worked as a Production Designer and in the Art Department in various films.
